HDTV

I was visiting my grandmother the other day and couldn’t help but marvel a little bit about her television. Not in a good way. Like most people, my husband and I have HD television service at this point, and I can’t believe how far the technology has come in the few short years it’s been a common luxury. My grandmother has one of the old televisions with a wooden enclosure surrounding it, so needless to say there is not much definition in the picture at all, much less high definition! I tried to tell her what she was missing, but she didn’t seem too interested. She primarily watches The Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune—I guess HD isn’t really a requirement for watching those shows. In any event, I wrote down the website http://www.CableTelevision.net/ before I left. I told her if she wanted to look around a little at which companies offered HD service in her area, we’d be happy to get it set up for her. I’m sure she won’t take me up on that offer, but I thought it was worth a shot.
